At risk of losing his elderly mother to COVID in a nursing home, filmmaker Kyle Henry wrestles with the murky space between the identities of child and parent in this delightful and inventive film about family love and loss. Diving into the extensive record of his family, Henry plays with the concepts of distance and intimacy, both in relation to his memories and in the ongoing interactions with his mother as she succumbs to dementia.
