RESOURCE CERTIFICATION CLASS
This onsite, classroom style, 4-hour class provides basic camera fundamentals training, an overview of Sony camera functions and safety handling for 3 Sony FX Line cameras in Austin Public’s inventory. Those include the FX3, FX6 and FX9.
This class certifies Producers within AFS’s Producer Program in the following equipment:
- Sony FX3 Camera
- Sony FX6 Camera
- Sony FX9 Camera
- All prime and zoom lenses in Austin Public’s inventory
- All 7″ video monitors in Austin Public’s inventory
- Sachtler Fluid Head Tripods

Our classes do not have age limits, however, the producer Program is for ages 15 and up. For minors attending classes, we require a parent or legal guardian sign THIS WAIVER. Please email a signed copy back to austinpublic@austinfilm.org or bring it in person on or before the class date.
